History
Jose Pepin Garcia emigrated from Cuba in 2001 and partnered with Pete Johnson on the Tatuaje brand that same year. In 2008, Garcia and his family launched My Father Cigars as their own house brand and built a state-of-the-art factory in Estelí.
The brand has since produced some of the most decorated cigars of the modern era. The 2012 Cigar Aficionado #1 (Flor de Las Antillas) and 2015 #1 (Le Bijou 1922) are both core Garcia family blends. The factory rolls My Father, La Aroma de Cuba, Tatuaje, and a handful of others, all under the Garcia direction.
